Back in town I stay close
to home, waiting for a job,
waiting for women to come to me,
knowing now that my revolution
has bypassed violence.

Stretched out along the floor
in a two-story building,
I lie spinning, who knows what,
strands of a mental confection,
loops of strange candy
for my friends to eat.
